Hultafors Stalberg Carpenter Axe

With its straight handle and long, narrow and straight edge, the Stalberg Carpenter Axe provides you with the precision any skilled craftsman demands. The finger noth in the axe head allows a grip where your hand is places, almost straight above the centre of the cutting edge, for increased precision. Like all Hultafors axes, the Stalberg is hand forged and made form Swedish quality steel. As part of the head forging process, the steel axe head is struck 40-60 times, thereby increasing its density and resulting in great durability. This axe is named after one of Hult Bruk’s most experienced blacksmaiths from the first half of the 20th century, Ernst Stalberg.

An axe for precision work. Wooden handle from American Hickory, treated with Linseed oil. Straighter edge with Scandinavian grind, the edge is sharpened, polished and ready to use. Leather axe sheath included. Hand forged in Sweden.
